Walking, Hiking and Rockpooling
A stone's throw from the campsite you will find the Vendéen countryside, the vineyards of Brem, the salt marshes or the coast, all easily accessible by bicycle thanks to the many kilometres of cycle paths which criss-cross the département, or on foot either strolling or by joining a guided walk, usually organised by the tourist office.
12 kms from the campsite is a horse-riding centre. They organise wonderful horserides along the beach and through the forests.
Don't miss "La Route du Sel", a canoe excursion at your own pace or a guided walk in the protected natural environment of the former "Baie de Bretagne". For more information go to www.laroutedusel.com
Rockpooling
The tide is out, you've got your wellies and a rake, now find those shellfish !!
3 kilometres from the campsite on the "Rochers du Marais Girard" or at "La Sauzaie" you can find oysters and mussels.
You must obey the rules designed to protect the environment, copies of which are available at the tourist office.
